Our Impact

- 1,034 average number of daily web site visitors (professionals and families)
- Currently FLO has approximately 2,000 national members, over 350 of them are in WA state
- FLO provides between 16 – 18 educational programs each year in WA state for families and professionals; including Pride training
- Each year FLO is represented at 12 or more events around the Puget Sound
- Our printed newsletter has a distribution of 500 each quarter, and our monthly email newsletter has a distribution of 2,000 families and professionals
- FLO is contacted daily by caseworkers and recruiters to find safe families for kids in care
- Caseworkers utilize FLO to find safe homes for GLBT&Q foster and adoptive youth. We estimate that there are 200+ GLBT&Q youth in King County WA alone
- Approximately 10 foster-adoptive youth are referred to FLO every day for help with finding families
- FLO averages approximately 20 new inquires per month for our helping hands network resources and agency referral, and more than 200 additional each year from events and educational trainings

Impact on kids
Our WA state Pride trained families alone represent families for an average of 50 – 90 foster and adoptive youth each year

- Approximately 100 volunteer community outreach hours per month
- Nearly 200+ volunteer family support hours per month
- Distribution of approximately 2,000 informational material each year
- Support and distribution of tools and more than 10 local family support groups
- Each year we are able to distribute between 100 – 200 children’s books to our families
- FLO supports a storage room for one of our Kitsap County family support and social groups. They collect used clothing, toys, etc for distribution to families in need with foster youth
- Over 90% of all donated funds are used for direct service delivery
